STATE CERTIFICATION RENEWAL

All Electricians are required to renew their State Certifications every three years and complete the following requirements:

  • 2,000 hours of work in the industry in the last three years
  • 32 hours of continuing education from an approved education provider

In order to avoid taking the exam, the renewal certification must be submitted with proof of your 32 hours prior to expiration of your certificate.

How often do I need to recertify?

What is the fee?

Renewal application fee is $100 when you are applying prior to the expiration of your current certificate. If you card is expired, you are required to retake the exam and pay $200.
